Tasty Party

Last weekend we took a quick trip to Omaha and visited family. It also happened to be our niece Kayla's 7th birthday and we got to tag along to her cool party. Ethan and Luke joined a room full of girls at a little bakery place where they all got to decorate cakes. So cute! We had a great weekend with them, enjoyed perfect weather, and the girls even got to do a little shopping sans kids. A perfect weekend!

Ta da! A Chef!
There may have been some tasting of the frosting now and then.
Serious concentration and team effort.

Birthday Bash

As promised, here are some pictures from the boys' birthday party. The boys had so much fun and Luke is still talking about it.
The boys anxiously waiting for everyone to arrive.
The birthday cakes, made with love.

This picture caught almost everyone that was there.
The boys checking out Luke's new Leapster.
I think this picture is so sweet. Adam is playing ball with Great Grandma and Grandpa Eigsti.
As you can see, the boys were pretty much partied out by the time we took this picture.
Their new slide [the next day]. Can't wait to play with this outside this summer!

What?!

Ok, just a little concerned here. Last night I made a Target run with NO children. So because I was feeling footloose and fancy free, I detoured from my boring list of diapers and lotion and found myself wandering through the aisle of hair accessories. And then I saw it. ::GASP:: Could it be? Seriously? SCRUNCHIES??? They're back? Why? Who let this happen? I thought it was agreed by all that these are ugly? Yes, I myself did wear them at one point in my life, but did not expect to (read: hoped not to) see their return. Must we bring everything from the 80's/90's back? I must be old because I don't get it.
