Guessing Game

32 weeks!!! As we are now approx. 8 weeks away from Baby Time, it seems to be a good time to start collecting your guesses on the gender/size/date of birth/hair-bald/whatever you want to guess. Unfortunately for me, my mothering/women's intuition has not seemed to kicked in, so I have no inclination one way or the other...boy, girl....your guess is as good as mine, so I may as well see what you all think. Chad thought he knew for a while, but now seems as unsure as I am. Anyway, please leave your guess under the comments and be sure to sign your name. Secret blog stalkers (you know you're out there :) are welcome to guess as well. Feel free to document (along with your guess) any supporting data for why you are guessing what you are guessing (i.e., heartbeat, family history, the way I'm carrying, whatever floats your boat). The winner will receive the gratification of being the winner (lame I know), unless I can think of an interesting prize by the time the baby comes. Really, this is all to amuse me and help pass the 8 grueling weeks to the finish line. Happy guessing!

As a refresher - Baby's heartbeat has been in the 150's until my last couple of visits and dropped into the 140's. Baby is pretty active, especially in the evening. I haven't had too much heartburn - only on occasion. What else? I had horrible morning sickness the first 14 weeks, and after that it's been smooth sailing. No food cravings, or really any other major changes other than I am carrying around a basketball in front. Good luck!

Indy Nisly Family guess-
Matt says boy
Sarah says girl
No real reason for our guesses. We have no knowledge of the impact of heart rate, family history, etc. Just gut feeling. I think my gut is girl because Matt's gut is boy. I like to be difficult.

Audra's guess - girl... just a gut. Maybe because my friend Sandi has 4 boys and her sister has 4 girls - and Tanya has 4 boys, etc.... Can't wait to find out.

p.s. You look GREAT!!!

Whoops - meant Tanya has 2 boys, NOT 4 boys - yikes. Tanya (you know you'll read this) I wonder if that was a little foreshadowing....

Dave and Marilyn say girl.
It's nested way up there ,I think,I'm going with that thought. Yea you know Boys hang low Girls hang high, yea your Hangin high.Family history mostly Girls for 1st born.Maybe Twins?!!!!

A boy. For no other reason than that Itty Bitty and Baby Eigsti can be long distance pals like we were (email or text for them...probably no long-hand letters!).
You look great! Glad I'm not the only one growing a basketball!

I say boy cause for James I carried him like a basketball. so definitely boy.

That was me Emily Slabaugh who posted the anonymous comment.

First, of all, I almost had a heart attack when I read Audra's comment. 4 BOYS???? Is she trying to kill me?!

And my guess has been girl from the beginning, so I'm sticking to it, even though the little stinker's heart rate has slowed and is making me question my guess. But I'm sticking to it because I have a great need to buy cute girly things that are pink and lavendar or have flowers and lace, etc.

And also I'm guessing bald due to your lack of indigestion, which really isn't fair, but good for you!

Beachy assumption--I'm going with baby girl Eigsti weighing in at an even 8#. Besides her birthday suit she'll be sporting a dark haired doo and dimples. She'll be 21 inches long and for interest sake will have an umbilical knot. She is going to grace us with her presence 4 days after your due date (can't remember the exact date off the top of my head) at straight up midnight. Happy pushing!

This is the Baby-Daddy

I have said from day 1 that it will be a girl. I have stuck to that feeling the entire time. However, as owner of half of this baby's genes I have the right to change my mind. It will be a boy. A bald boy. 8 lbs 3 oz Three days late (Mar 3rd) and 6 1/2feet tall. "What?!?!?!?", you might ask. I know it sounds crazy, but yes, the baby will be bald.

I've thought girl up until now, but I'm with Tanya, that heart rate thing has me thinking it's a boy. So I'll go with boy.

Mind you, I thought both of mine were boys. I have no mother's intuition either, apparently.

7 lbs. 12 oz. 19 inches long. A week and a half late. (sorry) and some hair.
Can't wait to find out! ((((((hugs)))))))

Mmn, the other comments are interesting-but I think I've gotta go with a girl-just because!! I think she will be 2 days early, let me see, um, 7 lb 8 oz with a bit of slighly curly light brown hair!!!! how is that for a guess! And ya gotta keep busy to catch up with Tanya's "4" boys!!!! Best wishes-can't wait to hear the great news!!!

I'm going with girl based on how you are carrying. I think you will have her the date you schedule to induce (not sure exactly what date that is - I know you said your doc won't let you go past a certain date so whatever day that is)basically i don't think you will go early - sorry! :( 7lbs 14 oz. and 20 inches tiny bit of dark hair and because my husband is so weird i will disagree and i don't think you will have an umbilical knot. (no worries nothing is wrong if that happens - kayla had that) Can't wait to be an auntie!!!!!!

Sonya says girl. I thought that from the very beginning. I'm going to guess 8lbs 6 oz for weight and 20 inches long. And she will have a little light-colored hair, mostly in the back so it'll kinda of look like a mullet.

Hi Sondra and Chad;

I think it is a girl. Audra was much sicker for Cate than she was for Ben. But Tanya was also sick for Andrew soooo I really don't know. LOL But I'm still sticking with a baby girl. A boy cousin for Andrew and Johathan would be nice. No matter boy or girl I wish you all the joy and happiness I know this baby will bring to your family. Andrew and Johathan's Grammy Nancy

Okay...We've got some Cleveland guesses for you...mainly because we have the lucky situation of getting to see Sondra each week. I also performed the wedding ring trick recently too. Unfortunately I tried 8 methods to determine the sex including the Chinese gender predictor and 4 votes came up girl and 4 came up boy. Mike and I both think boy...and we can't wait to meet him...or her. :) I think the baby will be early and have hair and be small...but that's mainly to make Sondra feel good. hehehe...bring on baby Eigsti!

I say boy, b/c that's what I think! I don't know why. I don't think anything has anything to do with what it is going to be...
