Game Plan 2010

So, as I was pondering the idea of making New Year's resolutions, I came to the conclusion of..."What's the point?". Not that making resolutions is a bad thing, but I am thinking more along the lines of, how does this affect my eternal growth? Pretty sure when I get to heaven, God isn't going to ask me, "So, how did that 'learn to knit' resolution go for ya?". That said, my goal this year is to read the Bible in 2010. The whole thing. I'm using the One Year Bible, which has the whole reading plan set up for me. Because I'm a little lazy like that and am more likely to achieve this goal if it's already all set up for me and all I have to do is read. Now, technically, I confess, I'm already a day behind, but I will do it, by golly. And there will be ice cream in the end to celebrate. And maybe in my spare time I will learn to knit, just for an added bonus.

Do you have any eternal goals 2010? Do share. Seriously. I heart comments.

You go girl! My "resolution" was to not have a resolution...just do what needs to be done. An "eternal resolution" is an awesome idea, though!
P.S. I do enjoy keeping up-to-date with you via your blog! :)

oh my gosh I haven't checked your blog in forever and cannot believe how big little Luke is!! SUCH a cutie too! I miss you guys!

anyway, my resolution is not to miss church more than once/month (which totally beats the going to church once/month that we've been doing. oops.) and to drink more water. and world peace. I feel like these answers should always include world peace.

I heartily agree with your opinions on New Year's resolutions. I've never been one to make many goals...

Thumbs up on reading the bible; our pastor challenged our whole church to do that and had us sign up/pledge, and he will be emailing us every month or something to check in on us! So, I shall be reading with you, my dear.

So June, how's the reading coming? I am officially current on mine, finally! My resolution, besides reading the Bible in a year: Complete that growth plan you gave us before the end of the year... and maybe actually do some of it. :)
